In this webinar, Dr. Repking will explain how horse owners, riders, and trainers can incorporate veterinary chiropractic and acupuncture into their horses’ health care regimen to improve overall health, soundess, and performance.
Bio:Dr. Repking uses a Whole Animal approach in her medicine, incorporating both Eastern and Western techniques. She considers
herself a chiropractor first and a sports medicine doctor second. Dr. Repking has spent years studying the anatomy and movement of horses and is an expert on the spine. She performs regular soundness exams on her patients and has a special interest in ultrasound. She is adamant about
using rehab exercises to help restore posture as well as the neuromuscular connection that restores movement. This becomes even more important when healing from injury. Healing through movement is a key component to the successful recovery of equine and canine athletes.
In her spare time, Dr. Repking riding and training her own OTTB that she has had for 17 years. She also has a Coonhound and a Pointer who are both obedience trained and have learned agility basics. She has a unique understanding of the animal owner, and often helps find solutions using “out of the box” problem-solving skills. She enjoys working with horses and dogs, even the occasional cal, rabbit, or cow!
